Working in Roseland
Roseland has some of the best tree cover in the area — big live oaks that shade whole properties and give the neighbourhood its character. That canopy is worth protecting, and it needs proper pruning to stay safe: deadwood out, crowns lifted off roofs, and dense sections thinned so wind moves through instead of catching.
Heavy shade also changes how a lawn behaves. Grass under mature oaks grows thinner and slower, and cutting it at the same height as a full-sun lawn will thin it out further. We raise the cut height in shaded areas so what grass there is keeps as much leaf surface as possible.
The other constant in Roseland is leaf and acorn drop. We keep beds, gutlines and hard surfaces cleared through the heavy months so it does not build into a full cleanup job.
